That's right, I'm skipping the whole "part" thing because for the first time in a long time - it is taking forever for me to read a book.
Please understand - it has nothing to do with the book. So far I have loved it and I'm an exceptionally intrigued with the book. Given my choice I would sit here and do nothing but plow through the intense plot until I resurfaced on the other side. However - apparently I'm supposed to be a "grown-up" now or something and I do not have that luxury. For whatever reason the past couple of days have been INSANE. I must admit I watched the closing arguments of the Casey Anthony trial which took away Saturday (though the defense absurd theories drove back to the book temporarily. Another migraine took my Monday hostage. And today was camp and errands.
But - rest assured readers (I know you've been holding your breath waiting for me to finish this book) - I am house/puppy sitting for some friends for two weeks. Since I'm stuck in the boonies, fifteen miles from the nearest distraction, once I get through these last three days of camp, I'll have nothing to do but reading. I packed a dozen books of varying disciplines and promise to resume regular blogging.
And... I just realized I spent most of this blog talking about my life - and not my book. So, first, I am surprised that at this point in the book (250 pages - ish) the girl with the dragon tattoo (aka Lisbeth) doesn't appear to be a main character. I'm hoping that as we learn more about her, she will become a more prominent player because she is certainly an intriguing woman. Larsson has provided a character that you long to get to know - and then gives you very little information about her. It is nearly maddening. But again - I'm not even half-way through. Having no time to read is driving me bonkers! I promise to have more to report tomorrow.
My spell checker is not turned on on this computer. Consequently - I have probably misspelled at least twenty words in this blog. My apologies. I'll edit it tomorrow at another computer.
